Was it the Champions League we were Destined For ?

We must be getting pretty close to the fact that Mr Moyes now realise?s that he has wasted £15-18m of Lescott?s transfer fee on basically two useless footballers ? namely Heitinga and Bilyaletdinov.
Heitinga must qualify as the worst player ever to have played in a World Cup Final and also Bily as the slowest winger we?ve ever to appear in the Premier League. I would hazard a quess that their re-sale value would top no more than about £8M in total (Heitinga £5M, Bily £3M).
What else did Moyes learn today? Well Anichebe and Beckford will never cut the mustard as lone target men, Osman is basically finished as a Premier League footballer, Neville is not a leader and now should be replaced by Coleman at full back, and Fellaini has had enough of playing with the crap we have and will walk at the end of the season to join Torres at Chelsea.
Well where does this leave us? At least 10 players short for next season either in the PL or Championship (which if that happens will also bring with it a walkout by all and sundry). With Bill?s motto of ?You can Buy when you Sell and after we get our TV Monies? this will leave Moyes with about £30m (Fellaini £20m) to get 10 Premier League players in between August 15th to 31st.
And to think that this was our best squad ever, and destined for the CL ? or was that a dream by someone?

Bilyaletdinov cost £9 million and he couldn't even take a throw in properly yesterday...
We are Relegation candidates without a doubt and sadly I see no player motivated enough to do anythng about it.
That's the crux of the problem Mike. He never does learn. He'll keep trying the same things, week-in, week-out ? regardless of how patently obvious it is that they aren't working.
Ok, it's not always his fault but Yobo and certainly Jags would do no worse so why is he always one of the first names on the team sheet? Undroppable? Why loan out Yobo and spend £5 million on an older centre back in Distin, when in my eyes Yobo is just as good? We could have used this £5 million to sign a winger or striker!
Heitinga can have his bad days but then i would say out of 10 performances he will play well in 8 of them, and on his day he is just as good as Jagielka, his distribution is better for a start. You dont become a fans favourite at Ajax, play for Atletico Madrid and get 60 caps for Holland if your useless do you?
As for Bily, well get on YouTube and take a look at the goals he has scored for us, realise that he is not a left winger, he never has been (something he has told us a few times) and get off the lads back. Ok, he had an awful game yesterday but then so did Fellaini, Cahill...well almost everyone was awful. Bily has got more talent in his left testicle than possibly the weakest and most light weight player in the Premier League ? Osman ? has in his whole body.
Well, he's certainly doing a good job of spunking his Everton career up the wall.
I agree with you on this one fella. Bili and Heitinga are the main recipients of my fury lately but as you say they cannot have turned into bad players overnight. I have come to the conclusion that it is our mentality as a club/team that has these players playing in reverse gear.
Before joining us both Bili and Jonny played successfully in their respective leagues and were known names in the European game...within 18 months both have lost form and dont seem comfortable on the ball. Is it our workmanlike approach to games, dour, combative and negative that has drained their creativity and will?
Moyes may be highly regarded in the game for having Everton punching above our collective weight but he'll never be known as a Manager who's team's play attractive flowing football and this is where I thnk we lose a lot of potential signings and lose the patience / belief of our current ball players.
It seems we are going to be in this financial malaise for a while yet..if this is the case and Moyes walks in May then thats fine by me. Get a new man in who can at least get the side playing attractive football and see where we go from there.
Jonathan #1, playing 2 up front is not a valid excuse for Anichebe. In fact I want to put this 2 up front theory to bed. No decent side ever plays with 2 up front anymore especially against quality oppositions. Anichebe or whoever we have needs to adapt to playing up front alone, or as a Wing-Striker in the mould of Henry, Ronaldo, Messi. Dribblers would can cut in and shoot.
Otherwise shift Anichebe to the lower leagues where they still play 4-4-2 on cabbage patches.
Do you honest think BK can afford a Champions League club???

Please, manager, can we play two forwards. Anichebe on his own had no chance yesterday.
