Beckford!!? As IF!!

By Eugene   Ruane  ::  02/08/2011   145 Comments (»Last) There's been a lot of TW debate during the summer regarding our chances next season. Hot air mainly... but fair enough, it's summer, there's fuck all else to do (well... there's fuck-all else to do in Gothen-bleedin-burg...)

There HAS been a little 'grey' during the debate(s) but... well, not too much (certainly very little from me). Basically there appears to be two camps: the 'unrealistic' and the 'miserable' (twat); optimist & pessimist... Those who think it IS possible we could do well and those who think we definitely won't.

Problem is, for gloating purposes, you have to define 'doing well'. Otherwise, when (next May) you say... "Hey bollocks, you said we'd do well... KNOB-HEAD!!" ...the response is likely to be: "Well hold ON! Relegation IS doing well ACTUALLY, when you consider the injuries AND our FA points deduct..." etc blah.

So here's a chance to make a few specific predictions... For us ALL to be wise BEFORE the event and to give us ALL the opportunity to rip the piss out of each other's predictions next May (or... erm... even in 6 weeks!)

Same for all of us: five questions to decide whether you'll be the gloater or the... um... 'gloatee' (!?) So:?

1) What position will we NOT finish above?

2) Will we win anything?

3) Will Moyes be there in May?

4) Average Goodison Park attendance (within 500)?

5) Player of the Season?

Me: - 1) 9th. 2) No. 3) Yes. 4) 34,000. 5) Beckford.
