Am I a knobhead ?

By Ged   Simpson  ::  19/08/2011   20 Comments (»Last) I am 50 years of old and am like a kid on 23 December. Just two days and it all starts.

On this, my own Christmas Day, I will go shopping in the morning and we will then have some lunch. I will then potter aimlessly around and finally take control of our computer at 2:00pm and log onto the ToffeeWeb Live Forum. This will probably be my third visit of the day to the website.

For the next hour, I will watch and contribute to the ebb and flow of opinion ? some will want to kill BK, some will adopt the pose of football managers, some will anticipate Barkley?s skill... and others, like me (and most fans I think) will already have dreamed of a thumping win against QPR with a hat -trick by Hibbo!

Already I have seen and played out in my mind one or two of our first-half goals:

Kick off. A smooth passing move for the first and a blinding volley for the second. Barkley I think.

My online mate's found a new link just in time

Goodison will rock and, as the second half begins, we will be purring with delight and have two fingers in the air.

Even my Kopite missus will be pleased.

I will lick my lips as we start the second half. Fellaini will score an early header and the crowd will clap as QPR hit a long screamer.

Then Saha will score two ? one with a 25-yard grass cutter and we will win 6-1.

I will then have a nap and wake up and happily agree with my beau that the new X-Factor is ace.

I won?t care... We won and Arsenal will beat the Shite.

So fuck the money, fuck the financial/sport reporters, fuck the pre-season gobshites..

This is what it is all about and if we draw or lose, I will have had days of anticipation and excitement... as I have had since I was first taken to Goodison Park, aged 4.
