Maroune, Jack & Joey

I'm sat at home with a broken leg and lots of things Everton going around my head so I thought I would see what you all had to say.
Firstly... What has happened to Fellaini? He played the first friendly then said it would take time to get fully fit, but I haven't seen him since or heard where he is.
Secondly... Why was Rodwell left out of the Bremen game? Again no news from the club as to why he was missing.
Lastly and quite simply, should we go for Joey Barton? He is a pain in the ass but he can play football!
Thanks for keeping me entertained.

It seems that Fellaini is still injured, not recovered emough to play. Rodwell was ill against Bremen- thats what they said anyway. But rumours circulating today on the web seem to go with Rodwell to Arsenal. Hopefully we will find out more tonight. Definitely have Barton- he is a grafter and a creator in equal measure. I he fucks up then have a clause in his contract to boot him straight out.
Fellani....injured / angling for a move to Top 4 team
Rodwell..... trying to sell , since we couldn't move anyone else...but won't get a decent price because everyone knows were skint
Barton.... doesn't matter we can't afford him ( even though he is free....)
On the Barton point Scott, take a deep breath and....... http://www.toffeeweb.com/season/11-12/comment/mailbag/18365.html
Done something wrong with the link there Scott. Anyway, the thread is on the mailbag.
We won't sign Barton - we don't have a pit to piss in and there's no such thing as a 'free' signing. Signing on fees and wages will scupper any move for him and he'll probably stay at Newcastle anyway now. I reckon all this 'twitter' bullshit is just a way of Joey making waves without punching anyone in the face! He does love a drama, bless him.
Fellaini's body language in the friendly against DC United was not good and I was worried at the time that he seemed to be apart from the rest of the squad.
Prior to their warm up he was sat on the bench on his own with his BB. When the team came out to warm up he slowly trudged his way back to the dressing room without even acknowledging the fans cheering him.
At KO he was sat on the end of the bench - didn't seem to talk much with anyone, and vice-versa.
I am not convinced he is all Everton based on what I witnessed. I may be wrong, if so, somebody please tell me that since then his attitude is different. I actually like the guy and hope he will stay.
and I would add, where is Joe Yobo. We are still paying his wages and he has not yet featured in any of the pre season games !
I do think we need to give yobo and yak some game time. Yobo and RodwellFellaini needs to be sold NOW if we are to get any players in.
Now deal with it David Moyes, get on with it, you are the stubborn old man we all know you to be, you will destroy our chances by holding on to all of your players!!!!
Scott Jenner,
Life is boring here in south Wales aint it.
I know that as a blue it is a case of when it will go wrong and not if, so dont expect too much good news. If we can get some news out of the club then that will be all we get. Skint from previous exploits and no longer able to compete off the pitch, how long on it?
Scott, forget about Barton coming to the club.Do you think Kenwright and his cronies want that sort of headache-someone actually speeking his mind and saying it how it is?.....No way.If we are linked in any way it will be, to appear to be doing something.
We are so close. Barton, Adam Johnson on loan and Moyes to get a bit of imagination; suddenly this season could take on a new light. If we can't aford this then we are truly fucked. By the way, the most unrealistic ask is for Moyes to have imagination. Conservatism, fear and negativity. Keep it safe, guard a point. I doesn't have to be tis way.
Fella played tonight and looked his usual laid back class. Barkley does look a bit special, a ball came to him high tonight while he was surrounded by four Villarreal defenders, he just took it down with one touch and passed it into space for Saha to run on to; very impressed with him on his first half showing.
We created zilch in the second half and this game looked more like end-of-season rather than pre-season ? we looked tired after about 60 minutes. Another positive for me was big Vic's performance, he looked hungry and focussed, I'm not his biggest fan to be honest but, if he continues with this attitude through the season then he might just change my mind.
Why isn't Gueye in the first team? Hes the only play ive seen in preseason who has a spark... its going to be a long season
Fellaini is fuckin' useless so WHO cares where he is. You can say what you like - I usually do - and your opinion of the player is your right. HOWEVER, the facts speak for themselves as our record without Coco is MUCH better then with him. You can't argue with the facts.
Rodwell is not the answer; simple as that. We've seen loads of him now and he contributes nothing going forwards.
Barton - fuck that. I hope he fuckin' rots in the Barcodes' 3rd team. Even if we could afford £80k per week, I suggest we don't spend it on that 'orrible twat.
Going with the thread about fellani in the last 2 seasons we've had 45 league games out of him lets say he was good in 23rds of them.He and his father have a high opinion of his abilities thats 15 games a season that he's done the biz out of 76 games.he's a gangling lad and i think he will always pick up injuries as he is unbalanced and for a big man slight.Whilst he does have quality on his day I don't think he is value for money maybe he will look a world beater in an expensive team who can carry his fragility[per games a season] but we at Everton need 100% commitment not just in games but throuigh the season and overall I don't think we get that with Felli.Yes you could throw other players in to the same catergory but this is a player spouted about as being something special well if he was so special why haven't the so call big clubs come calling not one offer as far as i know.As far as I'm concerned I sell him the first decent offer to come in for him.Felli as I see hasn't grasped what EVERTON is about he's a foreign mercanary with him and his dad looking for pastures new.I don't say get rid for the sake of it utilise him as much as we can whilst here.He will have to have a special season if he wants that big move I don't think he's capable. So I think he'll end up staying and touted as as great player by juorno's but overall not quite cut it.I'm an old supporter 60+years and thats why I like youngsters coming through the club who have a sense of the history and passion that is in your blood not these fly by nights.
I you can't see that Fellaini is a class above anybody else. He is prepared to recieve the ball in tight situations, he has a great first touch, an amazing ability to come away with the ball when surounded by players and moves the ball on quickly and accurately, his ability to break down opposition attacks is improving, and he always has a goal in him. He does need to develop his long passing. He will miss Piennar who with Baines formed a triangle that has been our most creative force since December 09. I guess we have kept hold of him because he has been injured during the last two summers. I think it will be one more season then he will be off to a big champions league club.
He creates nothing; never beats a man; gives stupid fouls away; doesn't score enough goals and gets booked too much. They're just opinioins though, as I said, so can be argued.
What can't be argued is that the team performs better WITHOUT HIM. Our two best runs have come in the back end of the last two seasons when he was injured and not in the team. You can't argue with the facts.
Simple as that.
Moyes team reached its peak in winter 2010 before Fellaini got clobbered in the Derby. He was at the centre of everything at that time. He was also in the side when the season turned around this winter. Take a look at the away game at Chelsea in the cup. That is why he will end up at a big club. Do I have to go away and do some statistical analysis to prove you are making this rubbish up.
Sorry mate, you're full of shit.
Go away and have a look at how many points we've won with him in the team and when he isn't.
That'll shut you up.
He's fuckin' shite.
