Season 2011-12
The Mail Bag

A bit short notice but hey?

 26 Comments: First  |  Last

It seem?s the tide is turning. Where there was once a great deal of support for our ?true blue? chairman there is no longer the same level of support for the man. Listening to the phone-ins post-match after Saturday?s awful performance, many a caller was calling for Kenwright to go. Now this is very short notice but to anyone going tonight?s match and is against the man who is running our club into the ground, please let?s attempt to get something started and try to remove this cancer from our club.

I got paid today, and have sorted out my ticket for tonight?s game only now. But if you want to do something about the con-man ruining Everton Football Club then join me tonight and start something. Usually when I can I?ll sit/stand in the Lower Gwladys but tonight I?ve got my ticket for the Upper Gwladys so hopefully I can attempt to hang a banner I?ve made over the front row of the stand. It might get taken down just as soon as it goes up but hopefully if somebody influential in either the media or the board itself can see it, then maybe it?ll be a start.

Call me naïve if you want but frankly nothing has been done so far. This might not even work at all, but I?m 17. I was 11 months old when we last won a trophy, and it fucking hurts knowing that for as long as Kenwright isn?t willing to give it up we won?t be able to compete for a lot longer yet.

Nil Satis Nisi Optimum?Yeah right.

COYB! See you tonight hopefully?

Good on you Adam. You can support the team and still oppose the people responsible for destroying our once proud club. Don't let anyone on here tell you that you should just support the team and expressing anger at the Chairman is counter productive. If 20 000 chant 'Kenwright out' tonight it will destroy Kenwrights reputation, whats left of it, on the spot.

Brilliant!!!! That's really gonna help the morale of the team on the pitch tonight.
Bill is not going to leave without a buyer and not unless it's a worthy one at that. It is a business after all. Why don't you try getting behind the team instead and they might actually win tonight.

Nick isn't it equally as bad to turn brother and sister blues on each other claiming to be one of us? A civil war creates far more damage than any other type of war, even when its over it leaves massive divides that may never be fixed

It's disgusting that Adam and his generation haven't seen us win anything. Do what you need to do. My family's been affected by cancer this year and I've no worries using this term to describe Kenwright.

I think tonight's attendance will be the biggest protest though. A protest against Kenwright, a protest against Moyes' shite brand of football and a protest against the shite attitude shown by our senior players last Saturday.

Watch it Adam, if the banner works and fans and stewards kick off, you don't want to be posting on forum inciting people to join in. It could look bad.

On another note, Seamus doesn't seem to be answering my web chat questions, I wonder if somebody is editing out the ones about BK and just letting him see the 'what is your favorite food?' questions.

Now I'm a bit naive on such matters so you need to help me out. Apologies for my simplistic view but I'm a scientist ... not a businessman. As far as I know Bill Kenwright is majority shareholder. So for him to 'walk away' someone needs to buy his shares, right? Unless there is someone willing to buy those shares he is 'lumped with' the club. I find myself in a similar situation ... I'm trying to move house at the minute (desperate in fact, as I'm starting a new job 300 miles away in 13 days). However as nobody has put an offer in to buy my house, I am 'lumped with it' and obviously can't just walk away from it especially with an outstanding mortgage, can I?

Allan #7 - my family is still coming to terms with someone very dear to us succumbing to cancer. Bill Kenwright is many things but a 'cancer' he certainly isn't. Trust me. I know what cancer looks like and it's not a big fat face in glasses.
Speak for yourself but I and I'd guess many more on here do find the use of the term grossly offensive.
As for Adam and his banner..... I'll give it 5 mins before it's hauled down by stewards!!

Mark.....spot on. Maybe Bill can show his true blueness and give it away for nothing. Although if he did some on here would slag him for 'under valuing' the club!!
Good luck tryin to find your own buyer!!

Graham - get behind the team and we will win? What a laugh. I'd say you were one of the blind fools who were also telling people to get behind the team when they were giving out abput how we were playing shit in pre season. All the "it's only pre-season" bullshit is from the same school of thought.
That bullshit held no weight, and neither does your "get behind the team" crap.

Sean #12, with the amount of debt, and future revenue streams already cashed in, I think the owner could be optimistic in someone taking it for nothing...

Seamus. I said they might win if we get behind them.

But hey let's not bother then. Why bother supporting them at all now.

And no I didn't say anything about pre season as I didn't really take much notice of it.

Hell, why not get Johnson back to replace Bill.

Oh and I am one of the supporters who desperately want a takeover but I believe Bill will sell the club if he can find someone who actually wants it and will pay the right value for it. He will only sell for the right price, it's his business so anyone would do the same. Unfortunately we have to get on with it and carry on supporting them or we really will be in the shit!!!

Agree with your comment Graham. I too would love us to be bought by a billionare, but in the current economic climate it just aint going to happen.

I believe Kenwright is genuine when he says he wants to find a buyer, but there isn't anyone suitable making offers at the moment. I don't buy into the conspiracy theory that he is holding onto his 'trainset' and turning away rich benefactors. I also don't for one moment think he or his directors are lining their own pockets with the club's cash.
We just have to keep supporting the lads on the pitch and remain hopeful.

I see we're 3-1 up against Sheff Utd. That's got to be a positive! The Carling Cup is probably our best chance of a trophy this season.

The banner said 'Nil Satis...
-No Investment
-50 mil debt
-No price for the club
-No New Stadium
-No Hope
Bill if you love our club then leave.'

Turns out stewwards aren't to keen on it, so before it even got out, some wanker in high viz but paid to it.

Never the less I've still got it so if we can organise something concrete maybe with more people all is not lost.

Would also like to apologise for any offence with the cancer remarks. My nan had cancer and luckily it was found early enough and dealt with.

Genuinely didn't mean to cause any offence what-so-ever.

It was a lovely evening in the Lower Gwladys last night - plenty of leg and elbow room, on the pitch: 3 six-footers in midfield, Arterta saying "gimme", fluency, running into space, a goalie who ensured we retained possession and a ball-playing centre half.

The choir in the singing section never stopped and the song that drew most applause was "Sack the Board" Strangely, the players didn't seem to be at all upset by it.
