EvertonTV run as poorly as the rest of the club

 8 Comments: First  |  Last

Well it's 00:30 and as usual there are no highlights to be found at EvertonTV.

Every week they tell us there will be highlights from midnight and every week they fail to appear.

It's FOC now so you can't ask for your money back but it's just analogous with the lack of commercial leadership at the club.

This is a multi-million pound business being run like a pub side...

Not to mention the fact that when I clicked "listen live" to the game, they were playing Man City and the Shite...

Sorry Mark but the editing team probably struggled to find any highlights. As good enough reason as any not to have it up. I reckon they'd struggle to find ANY highlights from the WHOLE season.

I was the same as Matthew. Listen Live usually comes up 15 minutes or so before kick off but this time it was a good 5 minutes into the game and I'd all but given up. Then I started to hear the names Gerrard & Kuyt. At that point, I ripped the earphone off my ear and got on with watching the sloppy rom com the wife had on the telly.

I put the earphone back on ten minutes or so later to find they had sorted it out and put the correct match coverage on. This is on the official Everton website for Christ's sake! As abysmal off the pitch as they have recently been on it. At least on the field was our saving grace for supporting this club this last decade until recently. Now it seems we have nothing but reminders of how shoddy every aspect of our club has become.

Drew, Matthew, Lee...

The season before last, EvertonTv had its very own commentary team and and normally an ex-player as co-commentator, such as Sharp or Snodin. From last season (I assume another cost cutting measure) the 'listen live' actually links up to Radio Merseyside. If EFC and the Shite are playing at the same time, then Radio Merseyside have one team on FM frequency and the other on DAB... so it obviously took them 5 minutes to sort out which frequency to tune into.

But yes, I agree entirely with "it's just analogous with the lack of commercial leadership at the club". The game was uninterrupted on firstrow on the net last night guys... you should've used that rather than waste any time on the official site... sorry I meant official shite.

The place is a shambles. Always has been...

I remember years ago I went to an open day at Bellefield as a 6 years old. They had the players there signing autographs and it was a complete fuckin' scrum trying to get to them.

Even as far back as the mid 80s the place was a fuckin' mess and we had a good team back then FFS....!!!!!!!

Credit where credit's due though, they have finally recognised that some visitors (probably around half) to the site might like to watch the highlights on their IOS device (iPhone, iPad etc) and you no longer need Flash to play their content albeit the iPhone App is still a day or so behind the site in terms of it's content being updated.

Just to echo Drew's comments, I have installed the now free Android app on my Smart phone. Get free news, video, highlights that I can watch anywhere.
I did notice that the Villa highlights took longer than normal to be avail but if its free, I aint complaining.
