Adidas to replace LCS?

 22 Comments: First  |  Last

So Adidas have been dumped by Liverpool.

We should grab them while they are annoyed so we can have a globally recognized kit supplier that is sold in other outlets other than just restricting sales to Everton stores and the Everton website.

Does anyone know for how much longer are we tied into having Le Coq Sportif as the supplier and is this deal tied in with Kitbag being the sole supplier or could they supply Adidas?

I know shocking matters on the pitch and boardroom are more important but this is an important issue.

Adidas are Big and they dumped them. A 300M+.name change on the shirt. Maybe not being in the CL won't finish them off after all...Doh. What have we got? Kitbag maybe going belly up

I dont want adidas. You dont just get a small logo on the chest as you get with other suppliers you also get all those horrid three stripes everywhere soiling the kit.

We're getting Nike. Although it's still undecided if we will have the Nike or Umbro logo...

Probably need to save this for new ownership.

I said at the time the Red Sox group bought the Shite that we had a big problem. Their recent sponsorship agreement just one example.

We are lucky to even have a sponsor with the zombie football we consistently display let alone get Adidas.

Nike, Addidas only pay large sponsorship fees to big clubs; we are not in that bracket so we are better off with a lesser brand who pay more for the privilege. Hence we end up with shite like Umbro, LCQ, Puma etc.

A bit random but I always wondered why designer fashion brands didn't enter the football replica shirt world. I mean surely a nice new Royal Blue top with an Armani or Versace badge?? Surely it would work at a massive brand such as Man Utd?

John, I don't think Italy's finest fashion houses want their designs represented by middle-aged Mancunian, pie eating football fans! The kits then imitated on the black market around Asia - it would be a disaster for their image. And that's all that matters to them: image. And, unfortunately it seems many Evertonians are equally bothered or as embarrassed by who we have our kits manufactured by. I think if you're over the age of say 14 it shouldn't really matter at all who we have.

And get rid of those blue goal nets too and let's have some smart, visible white goal nets at Goodison too. Those blue ones are almost invisible and look crap.

Actually, the checked ones used by Sunderland are dead smart! Let's have blue and white checked goal nets at Goodison and white socks to lift the gloom!

As a side issue, I have always hated the new Everton badge since they remarketed it a few years ago and added the word Everton under the badge. I have always thought it looks shite.

The badge itself is great and people should just know it's Everton without having to write the clubs name underneath!! What other club does this? Hope any new kit design ditches it.
