New Kits?

 83 Comments: First  |  Last

I'm not saying that these are the new EFC kits but I found them on Twitter!

Would love the away shirt, Phil Neville did say his favourite was the away shirt and he is fond of orange (fake tan and highlights).

Not overly happy with the third shirt but pointless anyway when we have a blue kit and an orange kit!

Update: A reader has confirmed that these are a fantasy kit design. Scroll the comments section for more alternatives culled from Twitter ? Ed

You could be right, Andrew. Those are the most authentic-looking images I've seen. I actually like the third shirt — I'm a fan of the neutral-colour alternatives like black, white and grey.

The home jersey's amber trim makes it too much like this year's for my liking but at least it's 99% blue with no over-the-top white flashes and panels!

Pretty much Allan! I will be dissappointed if the Away and 3rd kits have round neck collars as depicted instead of the much nicey looking 'grandad' type collar on the Home strip.

I think they are all pretty smart. Not sure about the white shorts with the away kit, that wouldnt make sense. I think by the looks of them they look like the most convincing images of any that are floating around the web. However there probably will be a few tweaks to them!

Well, Nike certainly earning their money then. For the home shirt they've simply cut the collar of this years, for the third shirt they've just added a blue round neck instead of the current button up, and for the away shirt they've skinned fucking Lion O from Thundercats.

Is it just me or does anyone also detest us wearing blue socks - aka Ipswich, Leicester, Peterboro' for God's sake. What's worse is a 'change occurs' around a table when talking 'kit contracts' and some twat representing us opts to 'go with' blue. We were white for a couple of seasons -tidy- and then blue this season. It would be inconceivable to play in White shirts/Blue shorts etc., wouldn't it? Am I on my own with the socks thing? Can someone tell me? Ta.

Our socks should be white. I know historically they haven't always been, but so what, they usually have been, its more unique and it looks better.

I agree that these look fake though, although they may be the 'real' fakes (ie. they will be our kit but only exist as a computer mock up at the moment).

I also agree that white socks on the orange kit looks weird, they should be blue.

Also, where's the neon hot pink away kit Nike?

I've allways liked the white kits and amber ones, particularly the amber kit from the sixties that you see pictures of Allan Ball in and the Puma kit Rooney was playing in when Big Dunc started practising ventriloquism.
If it was me,the home socks wouls be white with a blue sash at the top, white shorts with thin blue sash down the sides and blue top with white around the collar if there is one.Away kit would be all black.

The subsequent ones coming through with the white sleeves would look good on some players (ie. those with serious upper arms), but would look pretty silly on the likes of Hibbo and Neville.

I've just googled pics of Young, Vernon and Ball and found all white socks for Ball (69-70), and both white with blue turn over and blue with white turn over (1League title and an FA Cup win ) for the other 2 players... so obviously it is not, nor never has been, a tradition set in stone. The socks turned to all white at the start of the 67-68 season.

But a poll??? I ask you, hardly earth shattering.

How about one for tapping the boiled egg with a spoon, then lifting the top off with the spoon Vs Top straight off with knife...It was good enough for Johnathan Swift and Gulliver.

The Badge; On the one side a gold star, vertically underneath it ( in smallish but visible letters ) F.M.F.L, Founder Member Football League.

On the other side, a golden star and vertically under, F.M.P.L. Founder Mmember Premier League.

Not many can put that on the shirt, especially the rich 4, 5, 6 or however many there are now.
