Kone does not fit the Barcodes Blueprint

BBC sport are reporting Newcastle have changed their minds about Kone stating he doesn't fit their blueprint!?!?

Rumours on GOT is that he's having a medical right now, for us.

Personally I couldn't care less who wears what shirt, as long as we win games.

I don't even remember who wore 9 last season!? Last number 9 I remember or cared about, was Duncan.

Well the last four posts have given me a laugh .

I just hope he fits our Black Print. For me I feel we could do a lot better with the penny's we have. I can only think that Roberto is thinking that with Kones 10 plus goals and others in the team like Jelly and our Belgian mop head adding about the same we will be ok. I just hope he knows what he is doing. If not, we are in for a stormy ride.

FFS Fer was a Moyes target. We don't know what's in Martinez mind. He might not want to make any signings until he's seen all the players return for pre season training.

Kone would surely be a perfect fit for Newcastle. Overpaid, rubbish and thrives among relegation fodder.

Talking of the Hibmeister, this afternoon I saw a man with a replica Everton shirt with "Hibbert 2" on Tonbridge High Street. No one EVER wears an Everton shirt in this part of West Kent. I was staggered, stunned. I wouldn't have thought there were too many people with Hibbert shirts in Merseyside and surrounding areas, let alone in what we like to call The Garden of England. Never mind Stonehenge, the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Bermuda Triangle, this was a proper mystery.

Kone's a good player, I'm looking forward to some 'engraved apologies' in the words of Apollo Creed but I'm not holding my breath.

He was round about the right age, but I don't think so, Derek - not unless he's dyed his hair, and Hibbo always strikes me as a man unlikely to dye his hair.

I don't own a replica shirt, and never have, but I toyed with the idea of getting one when Andy Johnson was with us. It would have looked good: "Johnson 9". If Mirallas goes from strength to strength, I may toy with the idea of a "Super Kev" shirt. Essentially, what I do is toy with ideas.

Let me get this straight:

Newcastle, a club well renown for its cohesive policies on not overpaying players nor paying inflated transfer fees because of its bursting trophy cabinets, have mysteriously enquired about a player whom they have do not believe fits in with their overall plan.

Shame Mr Kinnear didn't bring such elusive qualities to Gods Acre, isn't it ? (And I thought that he'd died after falling from a horse in "The Three Musketeers Go To Wembley"?)
