Marrone price-tag is £7M

No idea about this player, but if Fellaini was to go I'd suggest we need two centre mids and another winger. Martinez obviously fancies the look of this fella.

Thought this guy was fairly mediocre against us, haven't seen alot of him otherwise. Played alot for the Italy U21 teams which is a good sign but then so has Borini who looks awful.

With the exception of John Stones, I think we have been spectacularly un-impressive in pre season. RM wants to play a patient slow passing possesion game... hmmm, Jags and Sylain couldn't pass water after a gallon of Stella. Great defenders just not great footballers. (Ye get me?) Only my opinion, guys... let's just say I am apprehensive about the forthcoming season. I can see loads of 2-1 defeats where everyone says how gawjus the footie was.

Agreed, Sam. One preseason game isn't much of a sample, but I was at the Juve game and certainly didn't see anything dazzling from him. However, it's easy to see why he won't get into Juve's side anytime seen... Pirlo doesn't miss many games... and maybe that means he can be had at a lower price.

Don't forget that Fellaini has hardly dazzled in the pre-season friendlies, if we were being linked to him for over £20 million, based on recent appearances I think we would all be going mad on here!

I can see it now. Fellaini out, but Alderweirld, Jorginho, Marrone, and Sinclair in. I'm a big fan of the fro, but if he wants to go and we can replace him with 4 players 24 and under at the positions we need, then so be it. Word is Moyes let his release clause expire like an idiot and now we want 28 mil, which is a fairer valuation of Fellaini I feel. Love it. By the way, I don't think there is any shame of Marrone not breaking into the center midfield quartet of PIRLO, VIDAL, MARCHISIO, and POGBA. Michael Carrick wouldn't get a game on that team.

Fellaini will be replaced by 2 players max. I wasn't particularly impressed by Marrone when we played Juve, but I said the same about Gibson before we signed him, so I'm willing to be educated.

Harold. What is your problem with Sinclair? He's 24. He's fast. He dribbles people. He scores goals. RM has managed him before at Swansea and Wigan. As a premier league starter for Swansea, he scored 9 goals in 39 appearances. 27 in 50 in the championship. He's affordable and you don't have to start him every game. In a rotation of Pienaar, Mirallas, Deulofeu, Sinclair, and dare I say Naismith, you have depth and competition for places on both wings.

Peter. I'll tell you my problem with Sinclair. Like you said, as a Premiership starter for Swansea he scored 9 goals in 39 games.
My conclusion is that you did not watch those games. I did, and so did my son-in-law who is a Swansea lad.
Sinclair should have scored 19, not 9. He missed absolute sitters from one yard, two yards, three yards. They had to be seen to be believed. When Swansea sold him my son-in-law was over the moon. Still is.
Jelavic is a "missed sitter" specialist. I don't want another one.

Harold- I didn't watch those games. But I watch all of Everton's. And Osman misses sitters. A lot of them. Pienaar misses sitters. Better footballers then them miss sitters all the time. Doesn't mean they can't be useful. In Sinclair's case, we wouldn't be signing the new face of the club. We'd be signing a complementary player that can keep our depth of quality high. Who else could we realistically get for 5 million that is young and has Premier League experience? He's hungry as all hell too. Surely he doesn't want a 7th loan spell and is desperate to prove himself. Exactly the type of player that you want to compete with ours for places.

Mark- I would prefer Moses too, but it seems unlikely Mourinho would part with him now given the things he's said about him recently. And then his asking price is supposedly twice that of Sinclair's, which would make our rebuilding in center midfield a bit more difficult if Fellaini were to leave.

Peter. I'm not saying he's a useless player. Far from it. He's a fast strong athlete who can beat a fullback.
It's just the missed sitters thing. Memories are still strong.

Sinclair is off to WBA isn't he? Wouldn't mind him on loan to see how he does.
