Anichebe set for West Brom talks

Media sources in the Midlands suggest that Victor Anichebe is on his way to the Hawthorns to hold talks with West Bromwich Albion over a proposed move from Everton.

After an opening bid of £3.5m was rejected by the Blues yesterday, it seems as though an improved offer of around £5m could be on the cards to set up a move for the 25 year-old.

His impending arrival has Shane Long reportedly in talks with Hull City.

I was just thinking that we had too many strikers. Gets hard to keep count of all the goals they score too. This will ease that burden.

Jesus the one guy who showed progress in front of goal last season and we look to move him on, that leaves us the prolific Jelly legs and Kone head.......ffs

can't wait until he is gone. 5/6 m they should be bite their hands off for that.

You get the impression he had fallen down the pecking order with Kone's arrival. Was he even in the squad for the opening league games? He didn't get a game in the league cup either.

I can't blame him if he does go, he appeared miles better than Jelavic last season and yet he went backwards under the new manager.

How we are going to replace him is anyone's guess.

I hope there are no dangerous blades of grass on the floor during the medical that could sythe Vic to the ground!
