Turks rival Everton for Valencia

Everton have been linked with a move for Manchester United's Antonio Valencia — albeit mostly in connection with a part-exchange transfer involving Leighton Baines — but The Express claim that Galatasaray are in pole position to land the winger.

Valencia is valued, in this report at least, at around £12m.

Valencia is a good player, but we should be looking to sign younger players. We need to build a team for the future and players we spend money on should be young enough to have plenty of re-sale value.

A player I've always liked but he failed badly in his defensive duties against City.
