Everton watch 18-year-old Wycombe defender

Everton are supposedly monitoring the rapid development of Wycombe Wanderers defender Kortney Hause. The 18-year-old centre half has been watched a number of times in recent weeks.

The Mail claims that Hause has been outstanding for the League Two strugglers this season and is regarded as one of the best young prospects in the division.

Shane Duffy has just had his loan to Yeovil extended till May. Heitinga off to West Ham or Roma. Stones yet to make his League debut, Hibbert hardly played all season. Doesn’t appear to be a lot waiting in the wings if Jags or Distin get injured.

What is the latest on Alcaraz and Kone? Are they playing in the reserves? Will we see them in the first team this season?

I am beginning to think they are Roberto's equivalent of OFM's Andy van der Drunk and Per Krøldrup.

Dick, Alcaraz has made the bench the last couple of games and is fully fit should Jags or Distin need a deputy. Kone had knee surgery last month and is likely out for the season.

I would have no problems with John Stones coming in to the team if either Jags or Distin were unavailable. Every time I have seen him play he has looked very assured. I think Martinez rates him too as he has been doing his best to give him some game time where he can. Still, another talented youngster couldn't hurt.

I am only referring to either a lack of experience and/or a lack of fitness. Alcaraz missed most of last season at Wigan as well. Been crocked for most of the last 20 months.

Our defence has been very consistent and Oviedo has done great, but I still worry if Jags or Distin have a period out.

Stones has looked fairly assured when he has come on, nothing spectacular but I wouldn't expect him to, equally wouldn't expect him to be thrown in without an older wiser head alongside him. I'm pretty sure Alcaraz now has game time in the stiffs too but there as a backup rather than first choice.
