Everton eye Genoa defensive prospect

Everton are said to be weighing up a move for Marco Soprano, a 17 year-old central defender currently playing for Genoa in Italy.

Reputed "respected transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio" says that the Blues have been keeping tabs in Soprano for a while now and could be ready to swoop, particularly if John Heitinga is offloaded this month.

This doesn't surprise me. Our new chief recruitment man attends all the major youth tournaments worldwide and keeps his eye on lads likely to make the grade.
