Everton make official approach for Lascelles

Everton are back in for Nottingham Forest defender Jamaal Lascelles and have made an official approach for the 20 year-old claim the Daily Mail.

The club were given an FA rap to the tune of £45,000 for making illegal overtures to the player four years ago but this new report suggests that the Blues remain interested in the defender under Roberto Martinez.

He went through some form of scholarship / programme of excellence at Forest. He's young, strong etc and can play in midfield apparently. ticks a few boxes on our budget. I cant say as I've seen much of him, in fact none at all but I'd trust El Bob and our scouts, they seem fairly capable to be honest.

He's just got us a £15m striker from the Ivory Coast. But I thought we didn't need one and it was all about tactics and positivity?

Striker is no.1 priority now. What about the lad from Leeds McCormack or Ings or even Samaras? Jjeez we need someone who can find us the 2nd killer goal in matches or we'll get squeezed out of the top placings and finish with a whimper.

Got a couple of mates who are Forest fans and they love him. Quick and composed central defender. Definitely a future England player.
