Valencia midfielder linked

Everton are looking to swoop for Valencia midfielder Carles Gil, suggest The Mirror.

The paper reports that Roberto Martinez has been attracted to the 21 year-old by his performances on loan at Elche this season and would be prepared to match his £6m buy-out clause.

The report goes on to state that Valencia aren't keen on selling him, though, and there is competition from Atletico Madrid and Sevilla.

Carles says he is aware of Everton's interest but admits the Blues have not made a bit yet and doubts they will meet the release clause.

This lad looks good, and looks like a providing winger as apposed to your winger these days that just want to cut in and score goals all time. Could be a good player for us, something a bit different.

Bit of pace, skills, 2 decent feet. At 20, 21, could end up a snip for someone at £6m!.

Another wide player? Beats 3 men, goes wide and crosses to... and there's nobody there, they have all gone home since last season!
