McAleny loan deal falls through

Brentford had hoped to re-sign Everton's young forward Conor McAleny on loan until the end of the season but the deal has fallen through.

The 21-year-old made four appearances for the Bees earlier this season, only to have his loan spell at Griffin Park cut short after suffering a horrific leg break against Walsall back in August.

However, McAleny is back to fitness after a long spell on the sidelines and Brentford had hoped to re-sign the Liverpool-born youngster before the loan window closes on Thursday.

Too bad... it would have been great for him to experience some real pressure games as Brentford goes for promotion. And it would have helpd Brentford, my mate's favorite team.

I have been surprised to see Browning or Garbutt on the bench ahead of him - especially if Alcaraz is also on the bench?

Still worth easing him back in after a nasty injury. The EPL is a full force, high intensity league, so its worth giving him time, especially as he is still young.
