Everton watch Ghanaian defender

Everton are one of at least three clubs believed to be tracking Ghana international Samuel Inkoom.

Sky Sports claim that Everton scouts joined those from Olympiakos and Schalke in watching the 25 year-old in action against the Netherlands last weekend.

Inkoom has 46 caps for his country and will travel to Brazil for the World Cup before thinking about any potential move from Dnipro where he currently plays his club football.

It's frustrating reading all these rumours of Everton in for whoever the reporter pulls out of a hat.

I'm sure Roberto has a list of players he wants at Everton, and is not going to give information out. I'm trusting our manager to sort out the striker department first and foremost, we only have Koné at the moment.

A possible partner for (let's hope not an alternative to) Coleman?

With us now in Europe, rated 20th in the world brand stakes, and Ross 16th in world player evaluation (currently between £36.8 million and £42.8 million), we should have a lot more pulling power than we have had for a long time. We now need confident negotiating to translate some of these rumours into reality.

And it makes you wonder why Barry is still stalling... and why we are putting up with it.

I would love to see us linked with top players. We should be showing interest in the likes of Lallana and Bony if we are serious about improving the squad and really pushing for a top four slot.

As Jimmy Page says, let's trust our manager. It's an impatient moment for us, as we haven't signed anyone yet, but I believe once EFC & Martinez has signed the first new player, things will go smoothly.

Peter, is Barry stalling? As far as I know he's under contract with City until 1 July. I agree with Minik, Roberto's got his list and the journo hacks haven't got a clue who's on it.

Thanks Colin. It may be naïve but I still think he might have sent out some positive signals. After all, aren't West Ham now supposed to be our main rivals for his signature?
