Everton not interested in Barca's Tello

It's such a pity Gerard went back to Barça, I know he wasn't the complete package but what an impact player.

Hopefully he will tell what a brilliant club Everton are, and we will get another class player even on loan.

I have a deep hunch that these Spanish links are far sounder than some of the day-after-day "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" ones involving Prem players. This is Roberto’s patch where it is clear he is held in deep respect. I spit in the faces - metaphorically speaking of course - of those chickens who regurgitate the stale yellow line, "Well, name me any young Spanish players who have made it in the PL – eh, go on..."

Tello would be an amazing signing. He is quick, he has superb technique and touch, he is still young, he would be playing in a side with a similar philosphy regards ball retention and passing. Also he did turn down the pondlife across the park.

I think we can expect at least one Spanish whizz kid to be playing here next season, possibly a Barca loanee.

Barca have Messi, Neymar, Pedro, Tello, Affellay, Bojan (possibly out on loan at Ajax for a 2nd season),Sanchez, Dos Santos, Dealofeau, and Cuenca, plus other I am sure I have missed, going for three striking births.

With a £60m+ transfer kitty, don't rule out more additions, you can can see more loan opportunities.

Good post Ian, maybe we could get Tello, Cuenca and Afellay out of that lot. All on loan of course.

Barça have plenty of options out wide and although the likes of Cuenca, Tello and Sanchez could be leaving, Barça are signing Rakitic who can play wide, and they want Reus and Arda Turan, two other players that can play wide.

So they'll be overload with men in them positions and with us having a good relationship with Barça, and Gezza having a successful spell with us, I'm sure the likes of Tello would fancy coming to us.

Brahimi is a good player as well, by the way!

Roberto has already stated, he is not making any transfer decisions until after the World Cup. Surely, any football rumours are just gossip to fill the newspapers, to be taken with a 'large pinch of salt?'

The youngsters we seem linked to are showing much more my line of thinking which is push out the budget for that age group and you can pick up some real future quality.

For instance the £4m quoted for the kid from MK Dons is perfect... No more £500k League One French players etc... Although we made a little exception for Stones thankfully!

The day we spend £8m to £10m on a 19-year-old my dream will have been fulfilled... But we are going in the right direction.
