Everton has renewed its successful partnership with international betting and gaming partner Dafabet for a further three years to the end of the 2017/2018 season.

Dafabet first joined as an official partner in the 2012/13 season and is one of Asia's leading online gaming sites, offering its users a premium sportsbook service covering 5,000 live events from around the world on a weekly basis.

Evertonians will continue to enjoy and have access to a wide variety of markets to bet on with some of the most competitive odds in the industry.

Dafabet will offer international supporters a range of promotional offers and competitions — with the chance to win money-can't-buy prizes as well as the chance to attend Premier League games at Goodison Park throughout the season. Dafabet will also provide versions of Everton's official website in both Thailand and China. Which will keep Everton's international supporters up to date on events at Goodison Park in their own language.

Richard Kenyon, Marketing and Communications Director at Everton Football Club, said: “Our successful partnership with Dafabet is a good example of how beneficial partnering with Everton can be. Dafabet was new to the Premier League for the 2012/13 season and, building on a positive couple of seasons for both parties, we are pleased to continue working alongside Asia's leading online gaming site to offer our international supporters a premium gaming service.”

John Cruces Head of Sports Marketing & Sponsorship, at Dafabet, said: “We're thrilled to be extending our successful partnership with Everton. Having already worked together for three seasons, we've witnessed first-hand the work the club do behind the scenes and are very happy with what we've achieved so far. We look forward to continuing the relationship and further achieving our mutual goals.”

What does this actually bring to Everton the football club though?
Is there money forthcoming?

I'm sorry but I've never heard of Dafabet. If you asked me to name 5 or 6 betting/gambling companies, Dafabet wouldn't be mentioned.

I have no gripe with this particular firm but I'm against Bookmakers and football being so reliant on each other. Alan Shearer was the ambassador for this company at one point, they are a company whose business is done on the whole in the far-east and their HQ is in the Philippines – is that a tax-haven?

Let's hope we negotiated a better deal than the Kitbag fiasco!! Does anyone know the terms?

In the most watched league in the world, we have a betting company no-one's heard off, a beer no one drinks, and Delta Taxis. Great job, boys! Great... fucking... job.

Here's a strategy off the top of my head...

Year one: entice blue chips with free or reduced spaces.
Year two: use those blue chips to entice other blue chips.
Year three: gradually push price up to original blue chips citing relationship and exposure of year two blue chips.
Year four: push up price across the board one by one. If one drops out, it opens up to other companies.

I take it Richard Kenyon is Peter's poorer brother?

They might not have a shop on County Road but ask anyone who works in the betting industry, Dafabet are one of the biggest in Asia and that is where football betting is most popular. For the same reason, Dafabet are all over snooker these days as it is so big in the Far East.

For me the most interesting bit out of that was this:

"Dafabet will also provide versions of Everton's official website in both Thailand and China. Which will keep Everton's international supporters up to date on events at Goodison Park in their own language."

I think it's great that we have Thai & Chinese versions of our website but why is a gambling company in charge of doing those? Are these versions of the website mostly just to lure in people Dafabet can advertise to and turn into customers?
