Henen confirms Everton switch to local taxi driver

David Henen's move from Anderlecht is inching closer to being confirmed, with local taxi driver, Mick Herr, tweeting today that the 18 year-old Belgian told him he was signing for the Blues.

Henen has been training at Finch Farm for the best part if the last three weeks while the two clubs hammer out a deal that is reported to be around £1.5m but may eventually be worth £3m.

There has been competition for his services from Arsenal and Manchester United, though, so while his transfer to Goodison hasn't yet been ratified, it's comforting for Blues fans to know that the player has at least opted for Everton.

Despite the delays, confirmation of the deal is expected to be announced soon.
