Deulofeu set for Sevilla switch

Everton have been linked with a second loan move for Gerard Deulofeu but Barcelona are sending him out on a season-long move to Sevilla following their announcement of an agreement in principle for the deal.

Roberto Martinez had hinted last season that Everton had an option to take the 20 year-old on loan for a second year but has, in the interim, moved to bring in Christian Atsu from Chelsea instead.

New Barca boss, Luis Enrique, recalled Deulofeu from Everton at the end of last season with the intention of using the summer to assess his readiness for the first team at the Nou Camp and has clearly decided that he is not ready.

A move that would keep him in La Liga could be the next most logical step for Deulofeu who was a popular addition to Martinez's squad last season.

The Express tried to claim that Everton were indeed looking to bring Deulofeu back to Goodison Park for 2014-15 but he will be staying in Spain.
