Everton and Sunderland vie for Portuguese defender
Everton are apparently "watching developments closely" with regard to Sunderland's reported interest in FC Porto defender, Rolando.
The Portuguese giants could be willing to offload the 28 year-old before the transfer deadline after he spent last season on loan at Inter Milan and the Serie A side decided not to take up an option to purchase him outright.
Sportitalia claim that the Black Cats have made an approach for Rolando who has been capped 19 times by his country.
