Kone linked with return to Levante

He hasn't played a meaningful game for over a year but there has been talk in the last week of Arouna Kone going back to Spain if he can prove his fitness.

The Mirror suggest that Levante, the team from which he came to the Premier League when Roberto Martinez signed him for Wigan, are interested in taking Kone back.

Even if there is any truth to the story – and there have been suggestions to the contrary in recent days as well – the Ivorian striker would need to demonstrate that he has fully recovered from the serious knee injury that required surgery a year ago and which is still keeping him sidelined.
