Everton offer deal to Besiktas midfielder
Everton have reportedly entered pre-contract negotiations with midfielder Veli Kavlak, offering him a four-year deal worth €2m per season (~£30,000 a week).
Citing Turkish newspaper Milliyet, turkish-football.com report that Besiktas have been in negotiations with the 26 year-old over a new deal but have only offered him €1.5m per year.
Kavlak, who is out of contract this summer and also being tracked by Lazio, Southampton, Leicester and Fenerbahce, is Austrian born but is also a Turkish citizen through his parents. He joined Besiktas from Rapid Vienna four years ago.
It is not clear from the report whether Everton, who were linked with the player in the English press a month ago, would have the option of signing Kavlak early and taking him this month to bolster their central midfield options.
