Blues join race to sign Shaqiri

04/01/2015

Everton are in the hunt for Swiss forward Xherdan Shaqiri if Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri is to be believed.

The 23 year-old has long been linked with Liverpool and is also a strong target for Inter Milan after seeing his chances limited at Bayern Munich.

Shaqiri, who attracted attention for his goalscoring exploits at the World Cup last summer, could be available for £11m this month.

Update: 8 Jan 2015 Shaqiri joined Inter Milan on loan until the end of the season, although not before Everton had made contact, Sky Italia claimed:

Everton late contact - even more than Liverpool - was the reason behind the 2 days delay in Shaqiri deal with Inter, according to Sky Italy
