Everton tracking Benali situation at Brescia
Roberto Martinez is reportedly keeping an eye on the financial situation at Brescia and could join Celtic in their interest in midfielder Ahmad Benali.
The Mirror claim that the Scottish champions have already made an approach for the 22 year-old Libyan international who could be available on a free transfer this month if, under Italian league rules, Brescia miss another salary payment for their players who haven't been paid in two weeks.
Assuming their is any truth in the story, Everton would use the offer of a return to the northwest of England to steal a march on Celtic. Benali came through Manchester City's academy system before moving to Serie A for guaranteed first-team football.
