Media mischief over Stones and Coleman
An article listing potential Chelsea targets for the coming summer on the Daily Mail website is being used as the basis of a number of reports from other online outlets claiming that Jose Mourinho is lining up offers for two of Everton's first-choice back four.
Seamus Coleman (£20m) and John Stones (£30m) are mentioned in the MailOnline article as possible signings for the Premier League champions as they plot the defence of their title in 2015-16.
Their assertion that Everton have already scouted replacements for Coleman is being used as evidence that the Blues could be ready to cash in on the Irish fullback while a potential 1000% profit on Stones is being pushed as incentive for Everton to sell Stones.
