Cherries eye soon-to-be-free-agent Distin
It could be an academic story as far as Everton are concerned given that Sylvain Distin is almost certain to leave the club this summer but the 37-year-old is being linked with a move to Premier League newcomers Bournemouth.
Distin has broken his silence in an interview with L'Equipe in which he describes a rift with Roberto Martinez and his sadness at the fact that he won't be able to finish his career with the Blues.
That suggests his five-year association with the club will be over at the end of the season but, as he told L'Equipe, he has no intention of hanging up his boots.
