Naismith's Norwich move in doubt

The Scot appeared to be close to making the switch to Norwich when a fee of £8m was reportedly agreed between the two clubs in late December. However, Sky Sports report that the move is on ice for now after the Canaries have had an offer of £7m rejected by the Goodison Board.

The same report claims that there are "a number" of other clubs interested in his services, with Aston Villa, Newcastle and Sunderland all credited with interest in recent weeks.

The Mirror, meanwhile, say that it's Naismith himself who has put the brakes on the proposed transfer to Norwich and that, despite his agitating for regular first-team football, he may wait until the summer before leaving the Blues.
