Kovacic offered to Everton and West Ham

Real Madrid are apparently willing to let Mateo Kovačić go this summer, with Everton and West Ham reportedly notified of his availability.

Reports, including one from MailOnline, claim that the 22-year-old acquisition from Inter Milan is surplus to requirements at the Spanish giants and they would be willing to sell him for around £30m or would settle for sending him out on loan for a season.

The feeling is that Kovačić, as a box-to-box midfielder, would suit the Premier League and Everton in particular who are looking for someone to ease into Gareth Barry's central midfield role.

Like Portugal's William Carvalho, Kovačić is the latest player in that position to be linked with the Blues. Morgan Schneiderlin, who French sources now say isn't keen on leaving Manchester United, has been mentioned as a possible target, as has Zenit St Petersburg's Axel Witsel.
