Newcastle eye move for Cleverley on loan

Cleverley is on the fringes of the Everton first team under Ronald Koeman and has been mentioned as a potential outgoing player in this month's transfer window.

MailOnline suggest that St James's Park could be a temporary destination for the former Manchester United man who has enjoyed a couple of career highlights on the Magpies' home turf.

He scored a spectacular goal there for United a few years ago and then grabbed all three points for Everton last season with a last-gasp header.

West Bromwich Albion have been credited with interest in Cleverley as well.
