Everton interest in Burnley's Gray

Everton are reportedly eyeing a move for a second Burnley player this summer, with inquiries supposedly made regarding forward Andre Gray.

The 25-year-old could be available in a cut-price deal to add depth to the Blues' squad ahead of what the club hope will be a long Europa League campaign because he is entering the final year of his contract.

Gray, who started his career at Shrewsbury Town and then played for Hinkley United and Luton Town where he had a strike rate of almost a goal every two games, was signed by Burnley from Brentford two years ago.

He has scored 32 times in 73 league games for the Lancashire club but also made headlines for the wrong reasons for what the FA deemed were homophobic comments on social media last year that earned him a £25,000 fine and a four-game ban.

Everton are known to be courting Gray's team-mate Michael Keane but so far no deal for the £25m-rated defender has been struck.
