Onyekuru could get second season with Galatasaray

| Tuesday, 14 May 2019 9comments  |  Jump to last
Galatasaray are hoping to secure Henry Onyekuru for another season on loan from Everton according to a report from the striker's home country of Nigeria.

Onyekuru spent this past season on loan with The Lions, scoring 12 times in 26 league games, and played the season before at Anderlecht as the Blues wait for him to accrue enough international appearances to qualify for a work permit to play in the Premier League.

The 21-year-old had been a rumoured target of Galatasaray's rivals Besiktas but Complete Sports are reporting that the Turks are prepared to pay a €2m loan fee to keep Onyekuru with them for another year.

you just know that Henry Onyekuru is going to be the answer to a quiz question for years to come. Who signed for Everton for £7m but never even made the bench?

I wonder if it is a loan fee + salary contributions.

At this rate we could make a profit on him without him even getting near our squad.

True Steve, like I have mentioned a couple of times I have never known other clubs to have the trouble we have in getting a Work Permit.

Hopefully something will be sorted soon, we could do with him now.

I wonder if EFC know immigration lawyers exist? They might be a bit more expensive than having the groundsman, and his mate, trying to do the paperwork but they are usually quite effective. Bloody amateur hour at Goodison as usual.

Maybe the immigration officer is an RS supporter.
