Everton finalising deal for Gomes and 'want' Cillessen

André Gomes is close to securing a permanent switch to Everton according to reports.

Paul Brown of the Daily Star claimed earlier today that terms had been agreed with the player and Barcelona and that the final fee could be less than the €30m that many outlets had been reporting was the Spanish club's asking price.

Sport in Spain are also now saying that completion of the deal is imminent and there are suggestions that the midfielder will put pen to paper on a contract worth £120,000 a week.

The same outlet is also reporting that Everton are "a reliable option" for goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen who is apparently in search of more regular action after losing his place to Marc-André ter Stegen.

The Blues have already signed Jonas Là¶ssl this summer on a free transfer from Huddersfield but the report says that they are braced for a bid from Manchester United for Jordan Pickford if, as expected, David de Gea leaves Old Trafford this summer.
