Who cuts the blue ribbon?

Who would you have to cut the blue ribbon for the new Everton Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock?

There are many famous Evertonians we could choose from to welcome us to our new home but, even though I’m not a royalist, my choice would be Prince William.

I know he’s an Aston Villa fan but imagine, the future King of England cutting the blue ribbon and saying the immortal words: “I now declare this stadium open”.

A plaque on the stadium saying “Opened by Prince William” — Can’t get any bigger than that.

So who is your choice for the opening ceremony? Sly Stallone, Paul McCartney? So long as it’s not a Red…
