Everton U21s Premier League 2 clash at Newcastle United set to take place tomorrow night, Friday 24 January, has been postponed because of Storm Eowyn.

They will now play at Whitley Park on Monday night, 27 January, kicking off at 7:00 pm GMT. The decision to postpone the game comes amid Storm Eowyn which is set to hit Northern Ireland, the north of England and parts of Scotland on Friday afternoon and over the weekend.

Issac Heath looks decent, Omari Benjamin as well, took Sherif off after 60 mins where I reckon he will train with the first team rest of the week.

Was surprised Mills or Iroegbunam were not in the squad tonight.

Brian W, watched the game too, Isaac Heath looked decent, they all played well until second half where they took foot off the gas and let them back in. Whether they are up to first team standard is debatable, but any port in a storm if need be !

Benjamin with the first goal, he then got the penalty which Sherif scored from.

Kingsford Boakye came on as a sub. this kid was signed last January and was thought of as a big promising newcomer, then went missing, came back, did one again and is now back, ——“ Oh here we are again happy as can be all good friends and jolly good company” I hope he bleedin’ stays here and proves to be a great signing!

Dixon is one of the fastest players I have ever seen. I have not sure he yet has the quality or composure to be effective at Premier League level.

Maye with the injury list, there is an opportunity to have him closer to the first team squad?

Obviously not starring; but an option from the bench??

There is something desperately wrong with the way we and others develop young players since after 10 plus years of training and coaching so very few progress to the first team. Young Dixon looks like a good example. Just one first team appearance, when most of us thought he did OK and then apparently nothing. I would love to think that our youth set up was the life blood of the Club and given greater prominence. That has to be better than searching the transfer market at the eleventh hour for cut price bargain's.

David (13), Dixon also played in the league cup tie v Southampton and gave two silly fouls away, Southampton scored their goal from one of the free kicks.

I think the Academy has needed looking at for a long time, the way it has been run and who is running it and especially who is appointing the coaches, individual skill and natural ability is not seemed to encouraged, they mostly play like robots, that is why I like the look of Braiden Graham who plays to his natural ability, I hope it is not coached out of him!

Spit on Dave. It’s easy to coach how to defend, how to press but very difficult to coach how to dribble or how to find the killer pass. Our staff has been a case of jobs for the boys for far too long now. We need to recruit the best and get rid of the dross

Defender's Union Dave W. We'll have to have that conversation when we next meet up!!! And yes, I'll be defensive (pun intended!!), as the failed midfielder, who got told he'd be better off playing in defence.
