Everton U21s 1 – 2 Arsenal U21s
Everton U21s returned to action on Friday evening but narrowly lost to Arsenal U21s at The Big Help Stadium in Southport.
Arsenal were unbeaten in their past three outings, having taken a point at Crystal Palace in their most-recent fixture, and carried on this form with two unanswered goals in the first half.
Aled Thomas got one back shortly after the break but it was not to be.
Everton U21s: Leban, Dixon (46′ Barker), Samuels-Smith, Tamen, Welch, Thomas [Y], Benjamin, J Patterson [Y] (66′ Butterfield), Sherif (46′ Ebere (86′ Van Schoor)), Gomez, Graham.
