Speculation over Beto’s future at Everton continues with Italian clubs interested to take him on loan but not to pay the transfer fee Everton are looking for in a permanent deal.
Last month, it was rumoured that Juventus were put off the idea of signing Beto during the January transfer window after they had made an enquiry about the player’s availability but because Everton’s asking price was too high.
And the latest suggestion is that Torino are actively seeking a replacement for their injured striker Duvan Zapata, with Beto as a viable option. The Granata are interested in securing him on a loan deal until the end of the season. Reports indicate that Torino are willing to pay between €3 million and €4 million for the loan, along with covering approximately €3.5 million in wages.
However, Everton prefer a loan arrangement that includes an obligation to buy for around €20 million, a figure that Torino are not prepared to meet. The Italian club hopes that Beto’s desire to return to Italy will persuade Everton to agree to their terms.
