Charly Alcaraz is expected to be out for a few weeks after the Argentine playmaker suffered an injury in training.
He missed out on the matchday squad to face Manchester United, a game the Blues ended up losing 1-0 at Hill Dickinson Stadium. However, the exact nature of Alcaraz’s injury hasn’t been disclosed yet.
“Charly picked up an injury in the last minute in training [on Sunday]. We’ll probably lose him for a few weeks,” David Moyes said before the clash against United.
Everton also missed their reserve goalkeeper Mark Travers on the bench against the Red Devils. Travers injured a finger in training and is doubtful to face Newcastle later this week.
Everton will welcome back Jake O’Brien to their squad against the Magpies after he was suspended against Manchester United after seeing a straight red for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity against Bournemouth.

Two players hurt in training on the day of the game — That's an old-fashioned way, using an old-fashioned style by an old-fashioned millionaire of a manager using old-fashioned coaches to help him fuck the squad up.

Moyes doesnt rate him anyway.

I'm not sure if they train on the day of the game, and then go to a hotel for the afternoon, or if they just stay at home and turn up at a designated time.
If I'm being honest, I don't see nothing wrong with doing a little light session on the day of a game, but maybe I'm a dinosaur.

Too much of a maverick type player to be selected by Dour Davie. We can't have too many creative players in the team when they are expected to be back defending.

Excluding the two reserve goalkeepers, that's four out of eight of his own signings that Moyes happily leaves on the bench whilst playing others out of position. Inexplicable.

Where are all the Moyes adoring fans? He's supposed to be working for the betterment of the squad and club.
Fear not, fellow Evertonians.... Davey is enhancing his bank balance while we watch tripe football. He's Dyche 2.0 or fat Sam 2.0 -- take your pick.

A player who wants to make an impact on the game rather than a percentage footballer. He is prime to be sold in the summer.

Do players train on a Sunday? They never used to.

But he's got no chance under Moyes who doesn't fancy him at all.
