Lower Breck 1 – 2 Everton U21s
Everton U21s come back from a goal behind to secure semi-final spot in this season’s Liverpool Senior Cup at Lower Breck on Wednesday night at Anfield Sports & Community Centre.
Lower Breck of the Northern Premier League took the lead in this quarter-final just before the half-time break and it looked like that would be enough until a remarkable late turnaround.
It was not until added time at the end that Malik Olayiwola broke through the home ranks in the 92nd minute and played a one-two with Kingsford Boakye before drilling an excellent low shot into the home goal.
The Lower Breck keeper then totally blotted his copybook when he somehow allowed Braiden Graham to reach a long forward ball before him. It was a howler and Graham couldn’t believe his luck as he simply rolled the ball into an empty net to give the Young Blues a remarkable late turnaround win.
