Ivan Toney has Premier League experince but this season he’s still playing in the Saudi Pro League for Al-Ahli, yet some think he could return to play for Everton.
One suggestion is that 29-year-old Ivan Toney could return to the Premier League for Everton in January to solve the perennial striker problem. But that would no doubt require a substantial transfer fee as well as a very high personal salary for the player who last played for Brentford in the Premier League, scoring 4 goals in 17 appearances before securing a 4-year deal with the Saudis running through 2028.
This dubious rumour takes a number of different shapes depending what outlet you read. And in some quarters, Toney’s name is still toxic after he was suspended from playing any football for 8 months by the FA after breaching betting rules.
It seems highly unlikely Everton would want to have anything to do with him.
