Everton hosts their second game of the week when newly promoted Ipswich visit Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday.
 
On Wednesday, David Moyes’ men beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 in the third round of the Carabao Cup. A left-footed strike from Charly Alcaraz, after a clever move with Tyler Dibling, was the decisive moment of the cup clash.
 
Later on in the evening, the Toffees drew Newcastle United at home in the fourth round, with fixtures set to be played the week commencing 26th October. You can find the full draw here.
 
The Blues will also be looking to maintain their impressive start to the season. Everton are still unbeaten in the Premier League this season, managing a win and three draws.
 
Two promoted teams await next, with Hull City the next opponents after the international break. Everton’s quality should exceed Ipswich and Hull’s, with several fringe options taking their chance in midweek.
 
Everton Assistant Manager Alan Irvine revealed in the post-match press conference that he had challenged Dibling before kickoff, stating, “You’ve got your chance; make sure that you perform well, and then you give the manager a big decision to make about whether you're in the team next time.” Dibling duly delivered a response, as he won Player of the Match award and assisted the winner.
 
Irvine added that he was “absolutely thrilled” for Alcaraz, revealing the Argentine is “massively disappointed” when not in the starting eleven. Hopefully now for the 23-year-old, Moyes has a bit more of a selective headache. 
 
Despite only gaining promotion last season, finishing second, Ipswich Town seem to be adapting to life in the Premier League reasonably well. Gary O’Neil’s side currently sit in midtable, managing two wins and two losses. The fixtures have not been in the Tractor Boys’ favour either. Ipswich were handed one of the most difficult starts to the season, according to Opta's Power Rankings.
 
Last time out in the league, the Suffolk side battled hard to push out a 3-2 away win against Crystal Palace. A 90th-minute winner from Zian Flemming sealed the deal at Selhurst Park, giving Ipswich some confidence was they adjust to life in the top division.

EVERTON TEAM NEWS

David Moyes revealed in the pre-match press conference that Harrison Armstrong is to be fit, but not 100% ready to start. Rohl will not be ready to play tomorrow, with injury details continuing to be vague.
 
Despite the injury updates, it will be interesting to see if the Glaswegian will select any of the impressive performers from the EFL Cup victory. Alcaraz and Dibling will both be hoping to feature. A place in the starting eleven may be a stretch, with the winger and midfielder positions where Everton are arguably the strongest. 
 
Jarrad Branthwaite, fresh from an England call-up, should come back in at centre-back alongside James Tarkowski, after the defensive duo were rested in midweek. Jake O'Brien partnered Michael Keane for the win over Wolves.

Any updates on the roadworks which closed off Great Howard Street on Wednesday?
Are they likely to affect the Ipswich game?
What additional time will you have to add on for the Soccer buses?

Watched Moyes press conference, Julia asked him about Alcaraz performance the other night, he said he’s been excellent in training, so why use him so sparingly?
