Brentford U21s 0 – 2 Everton U21s
Everton U21s secured their first win of the Premier League 2 season at Brentford on Sunday afternoon, with two second-half goals.
It’s 0-0 at half-time, but Justin Clarke had to come off 2 minutes before the break, replaced by Rocco Lambert.
Brentford had the ball in the Everton net but their centre-forward had strayed offside. And before the hour, a brilliant ball out of the back from Dodds found Murdock who galloped forward and passed to Lambert. He saw Melvin Matos (57′) advancing but his shot careened off a defender and into the Brentford net.
Everton were pretty lively in attack and it paid off before the end when a looping cross dropped nicely for Malik Olayiwola (87′), who had been driving at goal since he came on as a sub. His low shot went into the bottom corner to confirm Everton U21s’ first win of the season in PL2.
