Duncan Ferguson has said he would love Richarlison back at Everton as the forward looks to leave Tottenham Hotspur.
Richarlison was close to a return to Everton late in the transfer window, but a proposed move broke down on deadline day. After the closure of the transfer window, the 29-year-old saw moves to Brazil and Turkey also fail to materialise, leaving him on the sidelines at Spurs.
He has not featured for the North Londoners since the opening weekend of the Premier League campaign. Ferguson has said he can’t understand why a struggling Spurs side haven’t reintegrated the Brazil international back into the side, praising the player for his attitude on the pitch.
The former Everton favourite worked with Richarlison during his time on the coaching staff and admitted he’d take the forward back at the club in a heartbeat.
“100% sign him, sign him. I worked with him. I worked with Richarlison, and he’s a winner. He’s a fighter. He was loved at Everton.,” Ferguson told GiveMeSport.
“He scored my first goal in management. Never forget it. Corner, bang header against Chelsea. Great player, great work ethic.
“My advice to the Tottenham manager is to get him back in your team and put your arm around him, kiss and make up. That’s all you need to do. Kiss and make up. Before you know it, it’s all better.
“Me personally, as an Evertonian, I’d love him back at Everton.”
