He arrived as a much-maligned choice of his old Rangers boss, Walter Smith.
But a range of six impressive performances that simply rolled back the years
make Richard Gough our ToffeeWeb Player of the Month for August.
Showing excellent skills and a fitness level that puts many in the rest of the squad to shame, Richard Gough has made the verbose doubters eat their words, taking control at the back in the absence of his peer, Dave Watson. Sadly, Goughy has stated that its just going to be the one season for him at Goodison, and he will return to the California sunshine come May 2000. Let's make the most of the old warrior. |
