Are the media actually still pretending Man Utd are relevant?

I mean, there isn't a chance in hell he's going to them. If I was a Manc, I'd be more worried right now about potential relegation.

The daily mirror is notorious for being a Man U propaganda outlet. A bit like Marca and As in Spain the mancs use this rag to target and unsettle players. Over the last couple of years, the rs have been included in this select group ie if they want a player the mirror will start a campaign to woo the target.

Deceased hack, Richardson, admitted this years ago on Sunday Supplement. Fergie would call him, as chief sports editor, and tell him which player he wanted.

Now all clubs do this and journos in turn get preferential treatment like free trips, exclusive access, golf clubs etc… but they should add a disclosure note saying they are being paid to write these stories.

Football is corrupt as fuck.

Colin

If I was Branthwaite I'd be deeply unsettled at the prospect of being linked to Manchester United lol.

Jim,

The media still treat Man Utd like they are relevant because of the clickbait it can get off their global, glory hunter fans.

But JB would need his head checked if he went there. Look at De Ligt -- one of the finest defenders in Europe but goes to Man Utd and nothing. It's the club where good coaches and players go to die.

Does it matter?

Presumably it won't be long before a lot of people on here will be decrying him as a sick-note.

Micheal, ejaculating?, surely you mean
adjudicating. Or have I come to early with my reply?😁

Andrew 4. De Ligt was never one of the finest defenders in Europe.

Paul #6, I was going to say that the article was premature.

Andy #5, or that he's being rested to avoid injury pre-sale?

Oh come, come, Mike #8.

Brent & Mike, are you both swallowing that load...

Of make-believe?

De Ligt is a carthorse with a turning speed that makes Tarkowski and Keane look like Olympic athletes.

Andy, 5: some people are already calling him injury-prone so they are ahead of the game.

Utter nonsense written by lazy "journalists"?

They write for those who don't seem to realise that the player has committed himself to the club by signing a new long-term deal.
