Trouble is,, you could see the Brighton or Bournemouth managers turning up at Everton and us still playing to the same blueprint.
I think it’s not really the manager but something within the DNA of our club that dictates to whoever arrives that we must play with one big gangly centre-forward and never sign quick fast direct wide players or full-backs.
Think about it really, since Moyes left in 2013 until he was reappointed last year, there was only Roberto Martinez who dared the club to believe, yet the fans were having none of his abandonment of defending and wanted him gone at a time when the big money had just come with Moshiri.
