Man Utd U21s 4 – 2 Everton U21s
Everton U21s’ Premier League 2 campaign ended when they fell to Manchester United in their first and now only playoff game after qualifying in the Top 16.
They should have been in a strong position with Tyler Onyango returning from loan, having led twice in the first half through goals by Martin Sherif after great set-up work by Braiden Graham.
But those goals were cancelled out and the home side got two more to bring the season to an end for Paul Tait’s charges.
Everton U21s: Barnsley, Dixon, Thomas, Onyango (46′ Davis), Welch, J Patterson (86′ Bates), Heath, Gomez, Sherif, Graham, Samuels-Smith (77′ Morgan).
Subs not Used: Lukjanciks, Beaumont-Clark.
