Neal Maupay has made a deadline-day return to Brentford, signing for the Bees on a season-long loan.
The striker, who joined Everton a year ago from Brighton in a £12m deal has had a miserable time on Merseyside so far with just one goal to his name in 28 Premier League appearances.
A move to Salernitana collapsed in January and with no concrete interest in him over the summer, it looked as though he would be staying with Everton this season.
However, Brentford, the club in England where he had his best spell, came in for him today with a late approach to take him on loan and submitted an offer for the Frenchman.
According to reports, the deal taking him back to London, which was confirmed 15 minutes after the transfer window closed, would include a buy option.
